Thank you so much for coming to our Home Decor SU Style Blog Hop for July 2019! You are most welcome – come in, get yourself a brew and get comfy as you are in for a treat. Myself and some other demonstrators show you our home decor projects for this month.
Oh my goodness I’m so excited to be taking part in this Blog Hop today. This is my first time taking part in a Home Decor Hop. The ladies in this group make some amazing projects and I hope my Box Frame Sampler comes up to standard!
Measurements:
Designer series paper 9 x 9 inches
6 squares in blackberry bliss 2 & 5/8ths inches squared – I used the largest square from Stitched Shapes dies
6 squares in whisper white 2 & 1/8th inches squared – I used the 3rd largest square from Stiched Shapes dies
2 rectangles in Blackberry Bliss 4 x 2&5/8th inches – I used Rectangle Stitched Dies
2 rectangles 3 & 5/8ths x 2& 1/4 inches – I used Rectangle Stitched Dies
half a sheet of Whisper White.
Method:
I stamped on the whisper white shapes and coloured them – I kept a tight four colour pallette of Blackberry Bliss, Balmy Blue, Mossy Meadow and So Saffron.
I then layered the Whisper White layers onto the Blackberry Bliss layers. I adhered the DSP to a piece of the white backing card that came in the pack of Designer Series Paper then arranged and adhered the squares and rectangles onto the Designer Series Paper.
I stamped, coloured and punched out some air balloons and butterflies to decorate the piece with fixing them with dimensionals and glue dots. The completed piece was then fitted into the frame. I used a 9 inch Ribba box frame from Ikea.
If you would like a video tutorial of how I made this please let me know and I will record one.
I am predominately a card maker but I do enjoy Home Decor projects. I do hope you like my project but I know you will love all the projects by my fellow hoppers – please click on the links below to see what the others have done. Please check out our projects and blogs and leave us some encouraging comments.

Beautiful showpiece! 🙂
Love wall pieces where’s a lot to see and yours surely has. Thanks for the idea!
Love it Janice 😍
Fun sampler, Janice! The designer paper makes a great counterpoint to the stamped pieces.
